Yesterday at the end of Dark Tide V, a flash flood swept through the campground, breaking a sewer pipe and completely destroying as of yet uncounted thousands of dollars of camping equipment, personal effects (cell phones, keys, wallets, prescription medications), and Dagorhir gear (armor, shields and weapons, garb, props, etc). Because of the sewer pipe, none of the equipment will be recoverable. More than a hundred Dagorhirrim lost everything.
We are very grateful that no one was seriously injured in the disaster and this one hits particularly close to home because one of our own, Az of Akron, was attending.
A crowd-funding resource has been created to help our fellow Dagorhirrim replace the items they lost. Also, the Council of Lords of the Kingdom of Akron will be meeting on Saturday to best determine how we can help Az and the other Dagorhirrim recover.
